Important information before your visit.
Health & Safety
For the health and safety of all guests, dogs must have current vaccinations and valid veterinary records before using Lucy’s services.
- Current Rabies vaccination is required.
- Current Distemper/Parvo vaccination is required.
- Current Bordetella vaccination is required annually.
- If vaccinations are not current, a 5-day waiting period is required after vaccination before services can begin.
- The waiting period begins the day after the vaccination is administered.
- Home vaccinations, handwritten vaccination records, sticker books, pet passports, and breeder vaccines are not accepted.
- Vaccinations must be administered by a licensed veterinarian.
- If a dog cannot receive Distemper/Parvo or Rabies for health or immunity reasons, a titer test from a veterinarian is required.
- There is no titer test for Bordetella, so Bordetella must be administered as required.
- Lucy's highly recommends the Bivalent Canine Influenza Vaccine H3N2 and H3N8 yearly.
Puppies are welcome once they are old enough and have completed the required vaccination schedule.
- Puppies must be over 16 weeks old.
- Puppies must have had their puppy boosters.
- At least one Distemper/Parvo booster and annual vaccine is required.
- A current Rabies vaccine is required.
- An annual Bordetella vaccine is required.
- After the final booster or vaccine, there is a 5-day waiting period before the puppy can join services.
Lucy's is a flea-free environment.
- Dogs with fleas or other external parasites must be bathed.
- The bath will be provided at the owner's expense.
Preparing for Your Visit
Interactive play is available for dogs who meet Lucy's temperament and safety requirements.
- Dogs must be temperament tested to qualify for interactive daycare.
- Dogs over 8 months old must be spayed or neutered to participate in interactive daycare.
- Puppies younger than 8 months old do not need to be spayed or neutered.
- Dogs not eligible for interactive daycare may still board.
- Dogs not eligible for interactive daycare will receive a minimum of four and up to six 15-minute leash-free spacious backyard rotations.
Feeding schedules are designed to support each dog's comfort and digestion during play.
- Dogs participating in interactive play are fed during brunch feeding.
- Dogs requiring food for medical reasons will be accommodated.
These items are recommended for overnight boarding.
- Dogs should arrive properly leashed.
- Food is preferred individually bagged per serving, per day, per dog.
- Treats may be brought if desired.
- Medication may be brought if needed.
- Please know the medication dosage, frequency, and medication name.
- All medication must be in original packaging.
- Toys may be brought if desired. Please limit to two toys.
- Please do not bring blankets or bedding because Lucy's will provide bedding.
- Raw diets and freeze-dried food are not accepted.

- Dogs should arrive properly leashed with leash and collar.
- Food may be brought if feeding is desired.
- Food is preferred individually bagged per serving, per dog.
- Medication may be brought if needed.
- Please know the medication dosage, frequency, and medication name.

- Raw diets and freeze-dried food are not accepted.
Reservations & Scheduling
Boarding check-in and check-out policies help Lucy's provide smooth service for every guest.
- Check-in and check-out times are Monday-Friday from 7am-8pm.
- The Downtown location opens at 6:30am during the week.
- Saturday-Sunday check-in and check-out times are 8am-6pm.
- A $1 per minute fee applies for late pick-ups after closing hours.
- An extra day of daycare is applied if boarding pick-up is more than four hours after the original drop-off time.
- Payment for half of the boarding stay is required at drop-off for stays of seven or more nights.
Grooming appointment policies help Lucy's provide timely service for all grooming clients.
- Appointments cancelled without at least 24 hours' notice may be charged a $20 cancellation fee.
- No-show appointments may be charged a $20 cancellation fee.
Holiday and peak travel periods may include special pricing rules.
- A $5 peak pricing surcharge applies per dog, per night, during designated holiday periods.
- Peak pricing applies during Spring Break week.
- Peak pricing applies three days before, the day of, and three days after Easter.
- Peak pricing applies for Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's.
- Quantity stay discounts are not valid during holidays or Spring Break.
Holiday boarding reservations require additional planning due to high demand.
- A minimum 2-night stay is required during holidays and Spring Break.
- During holiday periods, cancellations require 48 hours' notice before the reservation.
- One night's stay will be charged if cancellation notice is not received within the required time frame.
Lucy’s front desk has special hours on major holidays.
- The front desk is closed on Christmas, New Year’s Day, Thanksgiving Day, July 4th, Labor Day, and Memorial Day, Easter.
- Lucy’s closes at 12pm on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.
Special Care & Restrictions
Some health conditions require specialized care that Lucy's is not able to safely provide for boarding or daycare.
- Dogs that are Heartworm positive or undergoing Heartworm treatment are not permitted for services.
- After Heartworm treatment is complete, veterinary recommendation is to wait 6 months before testing to avoid a false positive.
- Once a dog is clear of Heartworms, they may use Lucy's services.
- Dogs with seizures are not eligible for boarding or daycare.
- Dogs with insulin-dependent diabetes are not eligible for boarding or daycare.
- Dogs with incontinence are not eligible for boarding or daycare.
- Dogs with Chagas are not eligible for boarding or daycare.
- Dogs who are immobile or wheelchair bound are not eligible for boarding or daycare.
- Dogs with megaesophagus are not eligible for boarding or daycare.
- Dogs currently undergoing chemotherapy are not eligible for boarding or daycare.
- Immunocompromised dogs are not eligible for boarding or daycare.
- Lucy's recommends veterinary hospital boarding for dogs requiring specialized care.
Most health restrictions also apply to grooming services, with one exception for insulin-dependent dogs.
- Dogs must meet Lucy's vaccination requirements for grooming.
- Dogs with serious health conditions may not be eligible for grooming services.
- Insulin-dependent dogs are permitted for grooming.
- Dogs with Heartworms, seizures, Chagas, immobility, megaesophagus, chemotherapy treatment, or immunocompromised status may require specialized veterinary care instead.
Dogs taking heart medication are reviewed on a case-by-case basis for safety.
- Dogs taking any type of heart medication must be evaluated by Lucy's staff.
- A waiver may be required before the dog is eligible for services or interactive play.
- Dogs with congestive heart failure are not eligible for interactive play.
- Dogs with congestive heart failure will receive individual potty rotations when eligible for services.
For safety reasons, females in heat or pregnant females are not permitted for services.
- Non-spayed females in heat are not permitted for services.
- Pregnant females are not permitted for services.
- Non-spayed females and non-neutered males over 8 months old cannot board together.
- When needed, dogs will receive separate individual potty rotations.
Older dogs may have adjusted play schedules based on their comfort and safety.
- Dogs 9 years or older may be placed on limited playtime.
- Traditional limited play hours are 7:30am-10am and 3:30pm-5pm.
- The final determination is made at the store level.
Very small dogs may need modified play for safety.
- Dogs under 6 pounds may not be eligible for interactive play due to the elevated risk of injury from rough play.
- Dogs under 6 pounds may receive a minimum of four and up to six individual potty rotations.
- The determination is made at the store level and may change depending on the playgroup.

We recommend setting up a reservation for your pup’s first visit to ensure we have everything we need on file. Daycare reservations are recommended but not required. Walk-ins are accepted as long as your pup is up to date on all required vaccines and based on availability. Boarding and grooming require reservations.
We ask that you bring your pup’s food. You are also welcome to bring some treats and up to two toys per pup. We provide all bedding, blankets and food/water bowls. We also offer our “house food” (Purina EN Chicken & Rice) at $5.00 per pup per day. We do not accept raw diets, freeze-dried food, rawhide treats or tennis balls.
No weight limit! We welcome dogs of all sizes. We have separate play areas for small/medium dogs (up to around 25 lbs) and medium/large dogs.
Yes! We offer temperament test evaluations daily from 8:00am – 11:00am and from 4:00pm – 5:00pm. We also offer a 50% off your first full day of daycare coupawn if you would like to leave your pup after the temperament test.

Yes! Webcam access is available in the interactive play areas and luxury boarding suites at all locations.
Your dog’s safety is our top priority. In case of injury, we will contact you immediately and transport your pup to a vet clinic if needed.
Absolutely! We offer tours daily from 10:30am – 11:30am and from 4:00pm – 5:00pm.
Unfortunately, we do not offer any services for cats. We only offer daycare, overnight boarding and grooming/bathing services for dogs.
Unfortunately, we do not administer any vaccines at any of our locations and we require all vaccinations to be administered by a licensed veterinarian.
Yes, we have trained staff on-site overnight to ensure the safety and well-being of all dogs in our care.
We do not offer dog training services at this time, but we are happy to recommend local trainers in the area!
We require a credit card on file for all reservations. We do not require a deposit. We take all payments upon pickup. For boarding stays for 7 or more nights, we take a 50% deposit at drop off.
